My Story

Hi, I’m Angel- software developer by day and baker by night.

I’ve been baking for as long as I can remember but started doing commission work since June 2011. With no formal training and only unending support from family and friends mixed with a passion to bring people joy with what I create, I started angelcake.

Over the years in my Greater Toronto Area base, I’ve made countless wedding cakes of all shapes and sizes (including 3 of my own, pictured above), catered corporate events and startup launches/birthday parties, donated to charitable organizations’ bake sales and auctions, have supplied to a number of downtown Toronto cafés, and have even had my cake featured live at the MMVA’s red carpet, in addition to creating lovely cakes and desserts for clients’ birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, and life events alike.

I have a passion for using the medium of desserts to express my creativity and curiousity in the kitchen while bringing a smile to so many peoples’ faces. You can’t not smile while holding a pretty, delicious looking cupcake, it’s impossible! I love being a part of people’s joyous life events and am happy to do my part in making it just a little sweeter.

I especially love working with clients who have a clear vision of what they want and grant me the creative freedom to make their dessert dreams come true. Working together, we’re able to create something beautiful and amazing.

Currently, in British Columbia, I’m leaning into my #cookieMonster instincts. Since 2009, I began a tradition of Christmas Cookies to gift to friends and family. Annually, I would make 5+ different kinds of cookies by the dozens and give out cookie boxes with hundreds of cookies every year. Safe to say I’ve made a couple thousand cookies in my career. These days, I’m going all in on bringing you what I believe to be the perfect cookie of my dreams, and I’m a cookie person- so trust me! Yes, I still make cupcakes, cakes, and other desserts, but my current mission is to bring amazing cookies into this world- I’d love for you to try them!
